This is a summertime event started in 2024 where participants Shop, Eat & Drink along Oak Street and experience specials and discounts for this WEEK LONG event. The event is held for a full week giving participants maximum time to save on deals, dining, services, and more. The more you visit, the more you save!

AUGUST: Mid-Summer Mardi Gras:
Annual August event by the Krewe of OAK, with a winding parade route through the Oak Street neighborhood. Started in 1986, Mid-Summer Mardi Gras features food vendors, parade throws and elaborate costumes.

OCTOBER: Trick or Treat on Oak:
Halloween event begun in 2024 on Halloween night, where Oak Street shops in the first three blocks off of Carrollton, put out candy for kids. It’s a fantastic family event!

NOVEMBER

NOVEMBER: Oak Street Poboy Fest:
Sunday, November 16, 2025 - Annual Oak Street event in its 17th year, the fest is held every November with proceeds helping its non-for-profit partner, Son of a Saint. Sponsored by Tony Chachere’s, the fest attracts approximately 50K visitors to Oak Street and 40 food vendors, with multiple live music stages, sponsored activations, VIP area, kids zone and art market.
