An entire day celebrating New Orleans' most iconic sandwich on beautiful Oak Street.

2025

JULY
 

  • JULY: Get to Know Oak Street BINGO: July 13-19, 2025. This is a summertime event started in 2024 where participants can pick up a BINGO card to be stamped at Oak Street shops.  The event is held for a full week giving participants maximum time to collect stamps. The more stamps, the more chances to win prizes!

 

AUGUST

 

  • AUGUST: Mid-Summer Mardi Gras: Annual August event by the Krewe of OAK, with a winding parade route through the Oak Street neighborhood. Started in 1986, Mid-summer Mardi Gras features food vendors, parade throws and elaborate costumes.

OCTOBER

​

  • OCTOBER: Trick or Treat on Oak: Halloween event begun in 2024 on Halloween night, where Oak Street shops in the first three blocks off of Carrollton, put out candy for kids. It’s a fantastic family event!

NOVEMBER

​

  • NOVEMBER: Oak Street Poboy Fest: Annual Oak Street event in its 17th year, the fest is held every November with proceeds helping its non-for-profit partner, Son of a Saint. Sponsored by Tony Chachere’s, the fest attracts approximately 50K visitors to Oak Street and 40 food vendors, with multiple live music stages, sponsored activations, VIP area, kids zone and art market. â€‹

DECEMBER

  • DECEMBER: Christmas on Oak/Small Biz Saturday: Date to be determined for 2025.
